Is there any reason why I shouldn't add cholorine to my pool when its covered? Its just my guy feeling, but everytime I do, I get the feeling that it isn't as effective as when I add it in the evening and leave the cover off for several hours. Does the chlorine need to release gases in any way? Signed, just curious.

nope...although it is advisable to take the cover off every week or so for a full day to let you water breathe
