Our new pool dilemas...Just beginning

Hello all...I am new on this site. I am a new pool owner. Scary...but fun all the same.
This morning my husband and I woke up to a pool full of foam and a disgusting brown and cloudy color. We backwahed and it's clearing now. What did we do wrong?

Welcome to the forum.

It's impossible to tell what caused that without guessing (which is pointless).....there are many possibilities.

The best way to get you on the road to recovery is for you to post a full set of test results (from the pool store if you don't do your own testing) and post those up. Everyone here will give you great advice and get your pool back to crystal clear very soon.

Also, what did you put into the pool, if anything?

As duraleigh said, it's kinda hard to guess what the problem could be without a full set of numbers like FC, CC, TC, pH, TA, CH and CYA.
