Question about booster pump.

This might be a silly guestion but. Should I close the valve to my booster pump when I'm not running it? By leaving it open, I get water out the return it's hooked to,(presure cleaner not hooked up) so it's kinda like another return. Just didn't want to do any damage to the booster pump by doing this.

I'd say leave it open, the extra water flow to the pool isn't hurting anything and regardless the less often you touch a valve the less often it will need to be replaced
