    The Frog is an Ionizer system. It's also a waste of money, and an overly-expensive way to treat pools. It's a profit maker for the pool stores, because the cartridges are ridiculously expensive and the chlorine bacpacs are too.

    You don't want a Frog, or any other "alternative" system. Read about them in this article.

    Silver and zinc with trichlor tabs You don't want metals in your water and the continued use of trichlor will most like lead to an overstabilized pool. Also you cannot get away with the .5-1 ppm FC and expect to have sanitized water..
