Hi Everyone,

I'm VERY new to this process but have finally given in (well almost) to build a pool in my backyard. Because I'm still in the educational phase I was hoping if you could give me some guidance on a proposal I received. I actually have 2 but I like this PB the best and it appears as though his references are pretty solid.

This is the proposal:

16' x 28' shotcrete with pebble tec plaster
392 square feet
3 1/2' x 5' depth (i'm thinking it should be deeper)
6' x 5' tanning shelf with 3 entry steps
(2) 4 x 18" love seats
goldline salt purification system
maintenance kit, telescopic pool, bruch, thermo, ph test kit
polaris 280 automatic pool cleaner with dedicated booster ppump
plumbing with 40PVC, 1 skimmer and 3 return lines dedicated & separat w/ schedule (40) 2" PVC; 30 skimmer-to-pool plumbing run
electrical disconnect subpanel
12" flagstone coping
(1) swimclear 500 watt pool light (is color logic LED better?)
automatic timeclocks & freeze protection
(1) hayward 1.5 northstar pool pump
(1) hayward 1 HP cleaneer booster pump; jandy neverlube valves
hayward swimclear 425 cartridge filer
hayward 250,000 BTU header with electronic ignition; 25' run
700 sq ft sundeck decking
6" ceramic tile at waterline
double main drains in deeper end of pool
36 square feet of raised bond beam faced with tile
3' sheer descent waterfall
price = $40K

open to ideas, recommendations, etc.

thanks!
