Is there a way to add a skimmer to an Intex pool?

I am wanting to put a skimmer box in my intex pool, is there anyway of doing this? or am I totally crazy?

You can also buy a normal AG skimmer and cut a hole in the liner and put one in. A couple of people here have done it. Do a search on the site and you might be able to find the threads.

Yes, you can do that on the Intex Metal Frame pools, but don't try it on an Easy Set or Oval Frame pool! They have inflatable rings around the top that get in the way and nothing solid to mount the skimmer to.

I have mine, have not setup pool yet, hopefully this weekend! Got to have it up by the 11th, having a party to celebrate my 50th!!

That filter probably isn't pulling water in fast enough for a skimmer to work.

Intex does sell a skimmer kit.
