after shock do you let chlorine drift down?

My pool has maintained the same FC 11 and CC (less than .5) since last night. I tested this am and just now 10pm. No one used the pool today and it rained most of the day.

Do I just not put any more chlorine and let the FC get used up until it's back down to 3ish or see a climb in CC?

Yes, let it drop down to your recommended level according to your CYA on the CYA chart.
