help! how to fit vacuum hose to skimmer basket?

I bought a clearview vacuum head and vacuum hose but the head doesnt fit my intex telescopic pole. The vacuum hose also doesnt fit in my skimmer basket. I have tried putting it from the top and the bottom but both holes doesnt fit. Even if it does fit, I wouldnt want the debris to go directly into the filter. Do I need a different skimmer? a skimmer vacuum plate? I dont know what to do!

What type of skimmer do you have? If I plug the vacuum hose directly into my skimmer, I have to use a conical adapter (the adapter actually came with my Aqua Bug cleaner).

Depending on your skimmer, you might be able to find a vacuum plate for it. Also, if your skimmer has a basket, you can use a skimmer sock to catch the stuff before it goes to your filter. Lots of ifs, all dependent on your skimmer.
