    DE filter pressure frequently high

My pool was opened for the first time Monday, July 3rd with fresh quartz plaster. I've brushed at 3-4 times a day. My DE filter only lasts about 24 hours at the normal 12psi; so far, I've backwashed 3 times due to high pressure. Is this normal or could the grids be clogged this soon?

I'd say normal. DE is very good at filtering, and the fines in a new pool will clog it quickly. Just make sure to add the recommended amount of DE after backwashing.

Coming right along; every 3 to 4 days needing back flush.

grivera, if you PSI drops back to normal after a backwash and recoat, the grids are not likely clogged.
