I went out Tuesday morning and the pump was running, but no water was moving. My Dad came and the impeller/propeller whatever was broken, so he replaced that and the seals. Now it sounds like there is air in it - but there isn't that we can find, and it keeps shutting off by itself. (and it's not the timer/programmer).

Any ideas?? Short of having to buy a new pump! :hammer:

Is it circulating water? How long did it run without any water flowing? Were the bearings replaced in the pump? Most likely it is thermal protection shutting it down. It probably restarts normally after it cools off.
You might try disconnecting the the motor from the pump and letting it run. Does it shut off then? -ed
