Solar Blanket w/ A-Frame Ladder

When using a solar blanket in an above ground pool with an A-frame ladder, should a small rectangular section be cut out of the blanket allowing it to fit around the ladder without bunching up? Thanks in advance.

Yes. You want the solar cover flat on the water, so the wind is less likely to catch it. Just cut to fit.
