I noticed a discrepancy in a couple of the calculators and thought someone could help.

Assuming a 25000 gal pool. and doing Borate calcs:

According to Jasons pool calculator, I need to add 1400+oz of Borax to raise Borates 50ppm.

According to the BleachCalc, if I add 1400oz of Borax, I will raise Borates to 170+PPM.

Can anyone tell me what is going on. I am having the pool painted and wanted to ensure a proper startup after filling.

BleachCalc has a kown problem with the borates calculation. That is the only problem I know of in BleachCalc. I am going by Chem Geek's numbers, which you can see here, and which several people have tested out.
