Need to replace intex sand filter shell

@nate81 .... Would your old sand filter tank work with your new system? I ask because we have the discontinued system and need to replace the tank because it cracked. The old tank is no longer available so we were trying to order just the tank as everything else works.

What can be confusing is that they sometimes specify the pump flowrate (higher), sometimes the system flowrate (pump+filter, lower). Your new pump has a 3000 gph flowrate, paired with the filter it has a 2450 gph system flowrate. The latter is the (theoretical) flowrate you can expect, the actual flowrate will be even less due to the plumbing.

Definitely use the larger filter with the larger pump. Both will work though, they only differ 10 pounds of sand. The sand can be reused as stated above.

I'm more curious if all of the attachments are the same and if the new tank will fit in our old stand.
