What's a weekender to do?

Hi, I just started the BBB and all is going well...BUT...
I live in NYC and this is a weekend house.
I do NOT want to invest in a SWG now ---
is there any chance I can use the BBB system if I leave on Sunday/Monday and don't return until Friday afternoon?
Maybe leave the FC high before I leave?
i don't want to use any tricolor or dichlor tabs -- even temporarily -- as I'm lowering my CYA slowly, it's now about 90.
Is there any possibility this could work?

Do you cover your pool when you leave? If you raised the FC to SLAM level, covered it and crossed your fingers you might swing it. Covering the water protects it from UV rays which eat up chlorine (even at that high CYA level) and protect it from debris. I have an autocover and my chlorine stays easily for a week when covered.

My neighbor, 80ppm of CYA and no cover, raises the FC to slam level of 31ppm on Sunday and returns on Friday night to a clear pool with about FC of 6-15 ppm depending on the season.

Covering the pool would be a no-brainer. It would also survive in New York if your brought FC to SLAM value on Sunday eve and dosed again on Friday afternoon. That should be an easy issue to deal with. Don't skip a week......green monster!!
