Calcium Hardness It comes out light pink- does that count at red?

CYA - it's always clear. It never gets cloudy. It goes all the way too top and I can clearly see black dot. Did it twice.
Ph - 7.8
My water is crystal clear.

ps the neighbor cut down trees that now give me sun till 7 pm every day. Before sun was blocked by 1:30.
The kit is two year old.

2 years is starting to push the life expectancy of some of the reagents in that kit. I would recommend ordering some refills.

Sound like you have near 0 CYA. So that means you can lose 50% of your FC in a hour of noon sun ... and likely lose it all every day.

Raise that up to 30-50ppm (depending on your location ... add it to your profile please ;) )
