I'm not sure I have mustard algae. There's nothing on the sides of the pool and it appears like it's just dirt or dust. I clean the pool with a battery-operated cleaner so I take all of the "dirt" out. The "dirt" looks like green slime in my cleaning sock. Once I clean the pool within a half hour or so I have the wisps of "dirt" starting to come back in. The water is crystal clear. Do I even have mustard algae or am I dealing with something else?

That sounds like regular algae to me. A SLAM should get rid of it. Pool School - SLAM - Shock Level And Maintain
