Not enough suction & leaks

I have just opened our pool this year. The fittings to our pump are glued PVC not screwed and seem to have 2 small leaks. So I am assume that's why I am not getting the suction I normally get. My pump motor seems to run fine and water is flowing through just not the way it usually does. The skimmer baskets are all fine but the water isn't pulling very well. Because the fittings were glued we would have to cut them to replace them. Is there something else we can try first to seal them?

Since you did not tell us anything about your pool or pump it will be a little difficult to provide much advice.

How about telling us more, in-ground or above ground pool? What kind of pump? Etc...

or

You can just post a couple of pics of your pool and equipment pad.
