How to Add Liquid Chlorine

I've read on here that most people pour their bleach strait into the pool in front of a jet. Instead, could I pour the bleach into the skimmer first, then allow the bleach to come out of the jets?

My thinking on this is if I pour the bleach into the pool in front of a jet, I'm afraid some of it will fall strait down and settle on my liner and cause stains or fade marks.

Any insight?

Very few things are recommended to put directly in the skimmer and Chlorine is not one of them.

You can dilute the Chlorine in a 5 gallon bucket with pool water and then pour slowly into the pool in front of a return.

Also you can brush and agitate the water after you pour directly in front of a return to make sure it got mixed good.
