Pool is not up yet, but I tested my hose water to study up and get familiar with testing.

I'm not sure if hose water chemistry will stay the same after 10000 gallons and will re-test after fill up but here are the numbers I have come up with:

PH 7.8
0 FC
0 CYA (did not test as I read there would be none)
250 TA
0 CH (we do have a water softener perhaps the hose water is not independent??)

so if this is correct and water chemistry were to stay the same.....

Upon filling I would add:

62 oz 6% bleach
22 0z of 31.45 Muriatic Acid
53oz of CYA
385 oz of calcium chloride ?

A few questions:

Since the TA is high should my Ph goal still be 7.5 or lower....I'm abit confused about that
What should my CH goal be is?
Any other goals I should adjust?
This CYA ....do you actually put it in a sock (like my husband's old dress sock or sport sock thickness or pantyhose) and stick it in the skimmer? Or is there an actual pool sock people buy?

We have full sun from 11am to 7pm
2 kids will most likely use pool daily, with lots of friends 2-3/week
we will use a solar blanket
As of now no heater (solar panels to come later)

You will want to lower your TA, see this article for instructions. The lowering TA procedure will dictate your PH while you are working on it.

There is no real need to calcium in an above ground vinyl pool.

I suggest putting the CYA in a plain ordinary sock or stocking (no holes) and putting that in the skimmer. You will want CYA between 30 and 50.
