SWG and Bleach

I have been shocking the pool with bleach to deal with an Algae problem.
When I do this it seems the the SWG shows a higher salt reading.
Is this normal, or does it indicate a problem?
I never noticed this before, but maybe thats me.

I have never noticed this with mine but I do know that when I add calcium it shows a higher salt level. This is because the unit is not really reading salt but rather conductivity so when you add anything ionic to the water it will increase conductivity so this would be normal.
Don't lose any sleep over it.
