Freezing Temperatures

I inherited a new in-ground pool that is probably about 20,000 gallons or so. I live in the Buffalo area, and although the calendar says May, our weather thinks otherwise. It is supposed to get down to around 10°F (~-12°) in a few nights, is there any precaution I should take to make sure my pipes or anything important to the pool don't freeze? Should I run the pump throughout the night and crank the pool heater? Is there anything more I should do with chemicals? It is a bromine pool and right now the levels are pretty good. I also have a solar cover a I'm thinking I would leave that off during the cold snap.

Thanks for any advice!

Just run the pump overnight. I'm not sure about using the heater (if it would work) but down in GA where we get only a few nights of freezing temps we just run the pump.

Good idea to leave the cover on too.
