Pump ?

New to pools. New house with new pool so i have some questions. What is up with this pump? It looks like it should have some settings but there is no switch. Is there supposed to be one? This is a power pack 2 pump.

I have already learned so much on this site. Thanks to everone. I will have more questions coming soon on the green monster I have in the backyard.

The timer.........it looks like it is turned by the middle raised "bar". Does it turn at all?

It looks like the pump section for some type of stand alone suction side cleaner..
