Skimaround baskets?

That video popped up on my facebook a while ago as a suggested post. It's interesting, since the geniuses that designed and built my pool put the skimmer on the side, so the prevailing wind shoves everything past it. I'm thinking I could just park the thing at the downwind end of the pool. I'm curious about what happens when the thing gets filled up with waterlogged leaves and flower petals. If it starts sinking, will it still work as well?

Thanks all. I'm actually looking at the ones that fit inside the permanent skimmers. Not the one that floats in the middle of the pool. If anyone has any experience with those, I'd be curious to hear. Thanks!
Just realized I was thinking about the one that sits I the regular skimmer that is also spamming facebook. Not sure why it would help over a properly functioning weir.
Do NOT deal with skimaround. Their product did not work for me. Customer service is nil. I had to open a dispute with paypal. Took weeks to get my money back.
