Filter Leaking

I have a Coral Neptuno filter ( 2 months old ) Its a two piece sand filter and after only 2 months of service and regular back washes it is leaking around the middle gasket. In fact its more like river euphrates coming out of it !! I presume there was too much presure in the filter although I did check this 2 hours before the leak ! The top of the filter does not bolt / screw onto the base just seems to sit on top of it with a large gasket in the middle. Is it a simple repair using same or new gasket with lube or silicone or has the filter itself been damaged and I need a new one ?

If none of the equipment gurus/experts weigh in soon, I would check with the equipment supplier, it may be a manu defect.
