I've checked the previous posts and the manufacturer's website and it seems to me that there is no way to install it if there are no wall returns (mine are all in-floor for the infloor clearning system). Is there another product out there that works as well and doesn't require wall returns?

I've seen something which might work if you can't use a PS. My old brain doesn't recall the name of this device but it's an 'arm' of sorts installed by the skimmer. It sticks out across the water surface and catches debris as is floats past the skimmer, channeling it into the skimmer. Maybe someone knows what it's called.
