CYA reagent purple after winter?

Hey all

Went to check my test kit today and noticed the CYA reagent has turned purple. Is this still ok to use? The bottle says its good until 5/18 (purchased last summer, kept in the house over winter). Had planned on opening the pool today.

I would not use that. See if you can get it replaced. It looks like another reagent got in it somehow.

Where did you store the kit?

It was stored in our den, in the tackle box it comes on, at or below 68*.

Ended picking up a new bottle of reagent at Leslie pools.
