New to Pools - Here For Advice

great! We are new to pool ownership as well...just installed in ground and looking to avoid the pool store.
We are confused about what to do first....adjust chlorine or ph?
I have muriatic acid, soda, salt, and borax.
Water is clear but ph is 8.0.....any input?

First thing we need to know is how you are testing?

Second- tell us about your new pool. Is it plaster, or vinyl or fiberglass? Has your Pool Builder given you any directions. He holds the warranty so we need to know. Tell us about the equipment too.
