Is this pool pump to large?

I accidentally ordered the wrong Intex pool pump. Last year, I used the pump that came with the pool but this year I wanted to upgrade. I thought I had ordered the 1500 GPH but when it came I had ordered the 2500 GPH. It says that the mininium gallons for the pool should be 4000 gallons. My pool only holds around 3300 gallons. I have a 14x42 Intex Ultra Frame. Is this pump too strong for my pool? Should I send it back or do you think it will be ok. I like it because it has a timer and hopefully it will keep my pool cleaner!

It will be fine to keep the bigger set up. Timer and bigger is a plus!

Also, are there adapters so I don't have to cut the pool to make the hoses fit.
