Adding Diatmaceous Earth, question

I've noticed they have 'food grade' in garden centers would that be acceptable to add to a sand filter?

I was planning on using the tutorial in TFP when I get my hands on some.

No, food grade is not processed the same, and will clump up and make a mess of your filter.

Be sure to only use pool grade DE.
