Boraxo is the algaside?

So as I read this Boraxo takes care of the algi. Is that right? if so that is way better than buying the liquid algiside

One thing you will learn is algaecide is rarely if ever needed if one maintains proper FC levels. Since I started with BBB all I have ever used is bleach.

Borax does have algae-controlling properties and many users report positive results.

Boraxo is a hand soap that I remember well from my childhood, which is not the same things as the borax found in 20 Mule Team.

Boraxo and 20 mule team both used to be made by US Borax back when I was a kid and there were no computers or electricity! (But at least we had Mods--the British ones, and Hippies!) :fro: :colors:

Boraxo does have a lot of borax in it. But the other things it contains are not things you want in your pool.

Yes it was a Typepo :lol: . I used 20 mule team borax The Ronald Regan stuff

Borax will raise pH, is that why your pH is high you added borax to fight algae?

If you are adding borates you should shoot for about 50ppm
