Stubborn stains around the floor jets

Hi guys

I love this Forum & first time I have had to post a topic

One of the pools I maintain has literally in 3 days developed some very stubborn stains around the floor jets, they are in fan shapes in keeping with the obvious outflow from the floor jets & are a browny colour

Also when the pool is backwashed it is a browny/red colour & needs backwashing daily.

I have shocked the pool & the water is now clear.

Can anyone help please

You probably already tried this, but first make sure they don't brush off. If they brush off they are either dirt or algae.

Second, try holding a vitamin C tablet against the stain for 30 seconds and see if that makes any difference.

Have you tested the water for iron?
