Thread: Backwash valve

    Backwash valve

Is it possible to have a permanent pipe connected to the backwash valve on the filter that is buried underground and runs to the street drain? Then you would not have to connect that **** blue backwash hose.Is this something that has been done forever?

Also include a union, in case you have to remove the valve. Here are pics how I terminated mine at the street.

    Dave -
That is similar to my setup - but my pop up flies off when I backwash or drain to waste... How do you prevent that from happening?

I screwed the green part to the base part. My total pipe length is about 140'. The 2" pipe goes to a 3"x 3' pipe connected to the pop-up.
