Solar pool heater Tampa FL

So I'm sure everyone here is much more in formed on this subject than me. Friend gave me these panels we are going to hook them up on our roof at a very slight angle. And I have a couple of questions.

1. They were hooked together with rubber hose previously what type is the best ?

2. Was going to place two ball valves in the system is there anything else that should be placed / reccomended. Pressure valve? Thermostat?

3. Are these types of solar heaters common see much more of the plastic ones not welded aluminum like these?

Guess my most important question is the tubing to connect the panels to each other was thinking radiator hose ?
