First time open

We got pool installed last October, closing included with price. I want to open myself, and it seems straightforward haha but time will tell. My only question now is should I use a silicone grease on the threads and washers of plugs? How about return jets? I noticed that the SWG was loose but in place, how about on those threads and washers?

I am not sure as my pool is kept open all year round here in FL. I did find a link that might help you:

Thanks Kim, I did read that before. I reread it and did find a sentence about silicone grease on thread for stopping leaks. Does anybody know or think that silicone grease will cause any harm to a SWG? (And iam talking about minimal amounts)

Teflon tape is probably a better choice

Lube/grease is for O rings--Trix are for kids! I'd teflon those.

I have applied under water adhesive, to see the O-rings, for the return jet line.
