Where do you get large quantities of BS?

Our 30,000g new plaster IG is at 50ppm for TA...meaning we need 22lbs of baking soda to get it to 80.

Where do you get large quantities of BS?

Most pool supplies sell it in 50 lb bags (along with 50 lb bags of soda ash, calcium chloride, and just about every other pool chemical) if they also service commercial accounts. Just ask. (most people in the industry refer to it as bicarb and not BS. BS is what you get from most pool builders and pool stores.)

Thanks...will look into that. My wife is at the local grocers now, probably putting 22 16 oz boxes on the conveyor. Gotta do what ya gotta do.

As for PB BS...I "built" my pool myself, and I regularly spouted BS to my wife regarding the build. Must be part of the process.

I saw 15 lb bags of Arm and Hammer at Walmart last week and I know Costco also sells them.

sams has it in 12lb sizes. I like the description on their website:

Maybe it was 12 lb bag I saw. I didn't pay that much attention, just noticed it in passing.

Sam's Club has the 12 lb bag for around $6

I purchase baking soda in 12 pound bags at SAMs in the food area. SAMs, like a pool store, sells alkalinity increaser at a higher price where they sell pool chemicals.

The Walmart here has the large bags for around $6 also. In the pool dept. I think they're 12 pounders.
