    Hayward tcell-5 pvc fitting

Hi all. So I have hard pvc 1-1/2 inch if memory serves. I bought the Hayward Aquatrol and it only comes with the 2 inch pvc fitting. Is there a reason it only comes with 2 inch? Can I just get an adapter and go down to 1-1/2 or am I breaking some plumbing rule?

You can use a bushing to adapt from 1.5" pipe to the 2" fitting with no problems.
