Going from strips to test kit...finally

I have a 10,000 gallon in-ground pool with pebble tech and use an Aqua-Rite SWG.
Have been using strips for past few months and have been lucky mostly. We,ve gotten some serious rain in south florida past month or so and this has thrown the pool chemistry off. CYA level was reading low according to strips, so added pool store stabilizer. Salt level was at 2400 and added salt to bring back up to 3000. Some mild green algae during this time as well. What kit is best if I want to go from strips to a test kit? Taylor or TF? About the same? Also Have some algae that has formed on shellstome/coquina coping. Any advice how to get rid of it? Heard triclor tabs might work. Any advice greatly appreciated.

The TF100 uses all Taylor reagents so in that respect it's the same as the Taylor kit. The difference is in price and quantity of reagents. Also Duraleigh has a well-deserved reputation for stellar customer service.

Price, quantity & service = the TF100 from TFTetKits.net :goodjob:
Do yourself and your pool a favor and order the kit ASAP. It is the best investment we made in our pool.

We also have an article in Pool School comparing test kits.

When you get a moment, please add your pool and equipment specs to your sig.
Go to User Control Panel (top left under TFP Logo), select Profice, then Edit Sig. Sig is limited to five (5) lines of text.

We have some articles on defeating algae in Pool School.
Basically, raising your pool to shock level and maintaining until you meet certain criteria.
We generally use liquid chlorine/bleach to reach shock levels.

After you check out Pool School, post back any qusestion you have.
