Pressure Gauge Question

I need to get a new pressure gauge for my infloor valve.

Can I just buy a gauge at HD or Lowe's that is screwed in the same way? Or is there something proprietary about these gauges?

hmmmm...well that one you linked to doesnt specifically say its glycerine filled, nor does it read only up to 30 which makes it much more readable when you're old and getting wonky eyes like Skippy has.

Temperature buffering. The water filled ones get damaged more easily in cold weather.

Glycerin filled gauges dampen the response of the gauge needle to sudden changes in system pressure, pump pulsation, and external vibration. It basically acts like a shock absorber for the gauge needle. The net effect is to prolong the life of the gauge as well as help it maintain it's calibration over time.

I got one last year.....

Wonderful to be able to see the difference in a couple of pounds difference in pressure.

Same here...it's a great gauge and coincidentally the bubble from the fluid also happens to be my exact
marks for clean pressure and time to backwash pressure.
