Exclamation Purchasing advice prior to set up...Robotic Cleaners? Help!

Hello all and thank you for reading.

My husband and I are new to the "larger" pool world...I hope the sand filter and salt water system we have purchased are good choices, not only compatible together, but for the 22' x 52" AG Intex we will be navigating as soon as our snow thaws....

Opinions for robotic or automatic cleaners within the $500 or under range? Some trees around our property but biggest concern will be grass, sand & fine dust, in addition to a cleaner that is approved for round, Intex AGP.

Are there any other accessories that we may want to consider? Wall mount skimmer? A good cover, one that secures well and wont blow off like the ones that come with the pool? (We live in wheat fields where it's not uncommon for the daily dust devils & weekly wind storms).

Any advice and recommendations are BEYOND appreciated!

    Thank you!

Pool is not set up yet. Will be set up on our concrete basketball court. Very windy and dusty farm country.
Any advice for further accessories or tips prior to setting up is much appreciated!

Welcome to TFP and congrats on the new pool!

I bought a Doheny's Discovery last year and I love it. As do many other folks on TFP. Here is a thread about it, First Robotic Cleaner, Doheny's Discovery. There is also more info in my pool thread, link in sig.

This is the Discovery's little brother. I don't have any experience with this model, but I bet it will work great. And under budget!
