What have you found in the skimmer basket?

It makes a lot of sense to me. (for other people) I have nothing against critters in nature, but with an indoor pool, I want every wild critter that finds its way into my pool to drown!

This was our skimmer this morning...

Last week hubby fished a rat out of the pool...

After months of a major rehab on our first pool, we finally got to flip the switch on the pump for the first time. Within moments we had to shut it down because I saw something in the pump basket. This little guy somehow got in the underground lines during the rehab, he went on one heck of a ride through the plumbing and surprisingly lived.

I had been gone over the weekend and we got a lot of rain. I knew the pool would be a mess. Went out Monday morning and a rather large dead bird is floating in my pool. Yuck. Fished it out with the net and it smelled so bad I wanted to puke. Double yuck.
