"heard some snorting" LOL I bet he wondered what he had eaten to cause him to see THAT!I will take the neighbors horse in my pond any day of the week. He can get out on his own!

Sounds like an upcoming Judge Judy - pool owner suing for pool damages from cow owner; cow owner counter-suit because cow was able to get into pool in first place (emotional damage to cow).
Unrelated question: do you think I need to SLAM after I find a cow in the pool?

Haha! A cow got in my parents back yard a few years ago and we had to chase her back into the pasture. Two steps to her right and she would have fallen in the pool!
My brother had a neighbors cow drinking from his pool. Warned the neighbor of impending steak dinners
The winter after we built out pool we didn't have the fence up yet. I installed a Loop-Loc safety cover.
Came home one night late and found some 600lb heifers had gotten out. After we got them back in the lot, as I was following tracks around the yard to see if there was any damage I found a single muddy footprint on the cover. It paid for itself that night!
