Skimmer inop

My pool was installed by Anthony and Sylvan about 5 years ago. All of a sudden the deep end skimmer barely draws any water. The shallow end skimmer works fine. Someone told me that A and S used inferior pipes. Any idea of what a fix would entail?

I could only guess that something is blocking the pipe from the deep end skimmer.

My first thought would be to get a drain king that will propel the water backwards thru that pipe and see if you can dislodge whatever might be the blockage.
