First Overnight Test

Hello all,

My FAS-DPD kit arrived yesterday and I was able to perform my first overnight test. I have not shocked the pool since opening but the water has looked good from the start. I have been using a standard DPD kit to keep my chemistry regulated up until now. I figured that I would shock it after I got the FAS kit just to be on the safe side but it looks like I don't need to. What do you all think?

Last night 10pm (Turned off SWG)--2.4 FC 0 CC

This morning 6am--2.2 FC 0.2 CC

Other numbers are:

PH 7.6
TA 100
CH 225
CYA 60

Those are great numbers and it sounds like your water reflects that. I think it's time to go swimming! :-D Nice work.

Your FC level is a bit low. A SWG with a CYA of 60 should have a minimum FC level of 3.

Also, I would raise CYA up to between 70 and 80.

Have you seen Water Balance for SWGs in Pool School?

You might want to do some tweaking.
