This weekend will be my first time closing the pool and I have my wife mostly convinced it's under control (thanks to all y'all at TFP!). I think I understand most of it, except for a silly question about using a pool noodle in the skimmers after the skimmers are plugged.
Do I coil the noodles like a snake in the skimmer basket? Tear the noodle into large chunks? Doesn't the foam float (and then not work to absorb ice expansion)? Do I use a whole(ish) noodle or just part? I don't get it.
