Hello from central Texas

my name is RickyB and live in Temple Texas.I do apartment maintenance.we have a 50,000 gallon pool with 2 sand filters,a 28000 gallon volleyball pool with a sand filter and a hot tub with sand filter on property.I am learning as I go.never had any dealings with a pool except for swimming in them until I took this job doing make-readies.I wish I had found this place a few years ago.

You can probably surmise from reading posts and Pool School articles that the best prevention for having pool water problems is by arming yourself with a good test kit. The TF-100 kit (link in my sig) is top notch. Of course, I'll offer up as well, the obligatory "Taylor K-2006 is a good option too" statement as well. I have that one. It's fine but more expensive and you get less reagent than in the TF-100.

Anyway, welcome. Good to have another Texan on here.
