Hopefully someone will have some insight on this question. I started to close the pool, got it balanced, cleaned, and put in the winter chemicals to cycle a few hours. Pulled the rails and was about to start draining the level below the skimmer then it started to rain and I called it a day. Today it's pouring again so my question is with the winterizing chemicals. I have the filter running, does it matter or should I shut it down till next weekend when I can get back to closing or will have to use more?

Thanks
Gary

Wow, that's quite the chemical stew.

Are you dealing with some kind of non-organic contaminant?

I close with the same thing I open with, chlorine.

I guess it could wait.

I encourage you to consider not not using all those chemicals next year. Did you really throw a quart of something with 'no clear description' into your pool?
