I know in my pool that when shocking and chlorine is above 10 you cannot get an accurate reading wih ph. Is that the case with bromine too?. I had lowered the ph to 7.0 before to lower ta from 100 to 50. I have aerated it back up to 7.5. I added bromine and shocked and now getting a 8.0+ ph. Is this skewed from high bromine or do i need to add a little acid? Currently bromine is 12.5. Ta 60

Is this a bromine pool or a chlorine pool? Bromine should not be added, or needed in a chlorine pool.

Sorry for confusion. My pool is chlorine and my completely separate spa is bromine. I only referenced the pool because that is what i have been told in the past.

My question is regarding the bromine spa only. Chlorine pool is closed for winter
