Cover Pillow for IG pool?

I have been going through the supplies the owner left me and found a new cover pillow. I was under the impression they weren't used with IG pools? Has anyone used one with water tubes and solid cover ?

I can't say that I've ever heard/read of anyone using them with inground pools either!

I can't see where it would hurt unless it is so large it pulls the cover up so much that it causes the cover to drop in on the edges??
