Pool slide cover

I live in northeast Ohio... Usually lots of snow and freezing Temps... Is a cover for my pool slide necessary?

I would not think so BUT the water line does need to be disconnected and drained. To me the sun does more damage than snow could. I wonder if you need to worry about an avalanche of snow onto you cover from the slide...I THINK it will know really stick though.

Thanks Kim... This is third year having it.. Haven't covered before but I noticed they sold covers for them to "protect from freeze damage"... Wondered if it was really necessary
