We re-plastered our 55 year old pool 20 years ago and am trying to decide whether to paint or wait till we can plaster again. Not familiar with painting a pool. Any advice?

I think I remember someone saying you only get a year or two from paint, so it's not really worth it. But I could have remembered incorrectly. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along shortly to help.

That's right, we do not recommend painting a pool. It only lasts 2 or 3 years, it is a lot of work and it makes replaster ingredients more difficult. It is leaking? If it isn't leaking then just wait until you can replaster.
